We have donated ...

The Dr. Klaun Fund was established to bring happiness to all children who are alone. Our Dr. Klauns – actors, marionetters, clowns, mimes and magicians – bring it everywhere they go and give away smiles handfully. But to collect money to finance all those shows and arrange everything necessary is sometimes a really tough job.

Therefore, when we were asked by our Dutch friends, whether we would need some health care materials and tools, we did not hesitate even a second and in the year 2004, four electric-powered scooters were sent to Slovakia, which helped their new owners to return themselves into a day-to-day life. Since that moment our cooperation has been growing and lately we have named this project a “Dutch Bridge”. On the one side there are Dutch city Utrecht, companies Hoek Transport BV Maarssen,
Vitaal Groep BV
, A.M.C. Amsterdam and many other individuals, who have donated many useful things so far. On the other side, there are people in the Slovak Republic – grown-ups and children, who actually need this type of help.

We, people from the Dr. Klaun Fund, are very happy that we could help start up the “traffic” through this Dutch Bridge and direct it to those places where it is needed the most.

We are bringing you information about how the individual donations were distributed. However, the most pleasant satisfaction for us are the pictures taken by those who we have helped.

Mrs. Sestrienková from Zahorská Ves is enjoying her new electric scooter at home and also on her trip to Austria. We thank her skilful husband for sending us a detailed in-picture instructions how to fit this kind of scooter into a car boot and also other beautiful pictures from their spring walk. More of his pictures can be viewed HERE.

Peter Sheling from Trstena takes marvelous pictures and also literally tests the limits of his new scooter he has got from us. We wish him all the best in both of his hobbies and we recommend you his own web site www.kefas.sk.

The crèche in Trencin “Detske mestecko Zlatovce” received furnishings from one of the Dutch donators, who was leaving his mother land and decided to donate some of his belongings to Dr. Klaun.

Little Milanko Valasek from Sobotiste could spend his summer 2005 in his new electric scooter specially adjusted for his needs. Cleverness of his toes is admirable. According to his mother`s latest news, Milanko is so well trained that he is already able to ride also in his shoes.
